At Sanabria Law, we understand that the path to a legal career is not always a straight line. For students who are the first in their families to attend college, the journey can be especially challenging. There are no family playbooks to follow, no built-in networks to lean on, and the financial burden can feel overwhelming. That is exactly why we created the Sanabria Law First Generation Scholarship.
We are proud to announce that we will be awarding two scholarships of $500 each to first-generation college students who are pursuing a career in law. This scholarship is our way of investing in the next generation of legal professionals and ensuring that talent and determination are never held back by circumstance.
Scholarship Details
The Sanabria Law First Generation Scholarship will provide two annual awards of $500 per recipient. The funds can be used toward tuition, textbooks, or other educational expenses. We know that even a modest amount of financial support can make a meaningful difference for a student balancing coursework, part-time jobs, and the demands of breaking new ground in their family.
Our goal is simple: to help remove one more barrier standing between a driven student and their dream of practicing law.

To be considered for the Sanabria Law First Generation Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- First-generation college student — Neither parent nor legal guardian has earned a four-year college degree.

- Pursuing a pre-law track or enrolled in law school — Applicants should demonstrate a clear intention to pursue a career in the legal field.

Application Requirements
Applying is straightforward. We want to hear your story, not bury you in paperwork. Applicants should submit the following:

- One letter of recommendation from a professor, advisor, or employer.
Applications will be reviewed by the Sanabria Law scholarship committee, and recipients will be selected based on academic merit, personal determination, and the strength of their essay.
Our Commitment to the Community
This scholarship is part of a broader commitment to giving back that defines who we are as a firm. From sponsoring Thanksgiving meals for local families to volunteering at animal shelters, we look for ways to make a tangible difference in the lives of the people around us. Supporting first-generation students feels especially meaningful because access to education and opportunity are the foundation of a just society.
